Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Tobias Sainz Trapaga is a dynamic outside back who plays wing, inside centre, and outside centre. Standing at 1.90m and weighing 90kg, he brings a rare combination of size, speed, and agility to the field.
Tobias debuted for Spain’s national Rugby 7’s team in 2018 and has since earned 144 caps, scored 35 tries, and accumulated 175 points. His standout performances include a top-ten finish at the Singapore Sevens and a strong showing in Vancouver against top-tier teams like South Africa and Australia.
In 2025, Tobias will relocate to Australia, marking his transition to Rugby 15’s. This move aligns with his goal of representing Spain at the 2028 LA Olympics, bringing his international experience and competitive fire to a new stage.
