Maria Gabriela Graf is a standout Brazilian rugby athlete whose journey spans continents and codes. As the captain of Brazil’s national women’s rugby league team, she led the Amazonas in their historic debut at the 2021 Women’s Rugby League World Cup. Her leadership and playmaking skills at halfback earned her international recognition.

In 2025, Maria made history again by representing Brazil in their first-ever appearance at the Women’s Rugby World Cup. Competing in Pool D, Brazil faced powerhouse teams including South Africa, France, and Italy.
