Amari-Jay Tangi is a talented utility back who has built an extensive rugby league pathway across New South Wales and Queensland, gaining experience within several elite development systems from a young age.

Amari began his representative journey at 14 with the Manly Sea Eagles U15s Development Program. After two years in the program, he earned a three-year contract with the club and progressed to Harold Matthews Cup, where he competed a year above his age group.

He continued his development with the South Sydney Rabbitohs in Harold Matthews before progressing to SG Ball with the North Sydney Bears in 2024. More recently, Amari was part of the Ipswich Jets Mal Meninga Cup squad, adding experience within Queensland's representative pathway to an already strong development background.

A composed and intelligent footballer, Amari's versatility allows him to contribute across multiple positions in the backline. His game is characterised by strong ball skills, awareness and maturity, while his experience in high-performance environments has developed a strong understanding of the standards and discipline required at the next level.

At 19, Amari is looking for the right environment to play consistent football and continue his development. With experience across several respected pathways and plenty of football ahead of him, he is motivated to make the most of his next opportunity.
