Corey Elder is an exciting young rugby league playmaker developing through Queensland’s competitive junior pathways. Coming through the Redbank Plains Bears system, Corey has built a strong reputation as a versatile half and hooker capable of controlling games through sharp decision-making, speed around the ruck, and composed ball-play.
A proven performer at representative level, Corey has earned selection in the Cyril Connell Cup and Mal Meninga Cup on multiple occasions — a reflection of his consistency, work ethic and football intelligence. Comfortable organizing an attack or injecting himself into play, he brings creativity and confidence to key moments while backing it up with a strong defensive attitude.
Inspired by Jonathan Thurston, Corey plays with flair and competitiveness but balances his game with maturity beyond his years. His ability to adapt across spine positions makes him a valuable asset within modern rugby league systems, and he continues to develop both his leadership and game management.
Now part of the Moxie Sports Management family, Corey is focused on disciplined improvement, maximizing his development opportunities, and progressing through the rugby league pathway with the goal of competing at higher levels of the game.
