Kyle Bader is a disciplined and high-motor back rower with a deep commitment to the game and a proven track record in elite schoolboy and representative systems. Born in Katherine, NT, Kyle’s journey has been shaped by sacrifice, consistency, and leadership — both on and off the field.
Now based in Townsville and part of the Kirwan Bears squad that won the 2024 Aaron Payne Cup Grand Final, Kyle continues to grow as a key contributor at back row. He is currently contracted to the Townsville Mendi Blackhawks U19s and has earned representative honours with North Queensland U18s, the NTNRL All Stars, and the Clontarf U19 State of Origin team.
Kyle’s leadership qualities are backed by years of captaincy experience, including leading the NT Titans Schoolboys in the National Championships. His work ethic is matched by a high rugby IQ, defensive intent, and an engine built to go 80 minutes. He’s also a multi-code athlete with a background in AFL, rugby union, OzTag, and touch — adding sharp footwork, awareness, and lateral agility to his toolkit.
Off the field, Kyle is known for his humility and service to the game. He regularly referees local matches and coaches junior teams, using his own experiences to support the next generation. He’s also academically focused, with ambitions to study physiotherapy alongside his pursuit of an NRL career
