Biography

Stephanie Hancock is widely regarded as one of the greatest front-rowers in women’s rugby league history. With 40 NRLW appearances across the Brisbane Broncos, Gold Coast Titans, and St George Illawarra Dragons, she has been a dominant force since the league’s inception in 2018.

Her club career includes back-to-back premierships with the Broncos in 2018 and 2019, and eight tries scored during her time with the Titans. Hancock’s representative career is equally impressive: 20 Tests for Australia, 16 appearances for Queensland, and two World Cup titles in 2013 and 2017. She captained the Jillaroos from 2014 to 2017, leading the national side with distinction and resilience.

In 2024, Hancock rejoined the Dragons, bringing veteran leadership and elite standards to a young squad. Her presence was hailed by coach Jamie Soward as “one of the greatest front rowers to ever play the game”.

After a break from the game in 2025, Hancock is preparing for a return in 2026, bringing back her trademark determined running and uncompromising defence. Her experience, physicality, and leadership will be a major asset to any squad aiming for NRLW success.
